Zara Mitchell
Certified Trichologist · Natural Hair Specialist
Growing up, Zara watched her mother spend hours detangling, twisting, and styling her hair — and in those moments, she fell in love with the ritual of it all. What started as braiding her cousins' hair in the living room became a lifelong calling.
After earning her cosmetology license and completing advanced training in trichology, Zara founded Natural By She in 2012 with one simple belief: every Black woman deserves a stylist who truly understands her hair.
Today, Zara has transformed hundreds of crowns across Central Florida — from big chops to loc journeys, from color corrections to bridal styles. Her approach is always the same: listen first, educate always, and celebrate the hair you were born with.

The Beginning
Started as a home-based stylist in Central Florida, serving friends and family with a passion for natural hair.
2015
First Studio
Opened the first Natural By She studio in Central Florida, specializing exclusively in natural hair.
